Biography
George Daniel Wittman is a Registered Architect in the states of Washington and California and is a member of the American Institute of Architects. Mr. Wittman was graduated from the University of Southern California and holds a Professional Bachelors Degree from the School of Architecture. He has been in private practice since 1988 either individually or in collaboration with colleagues.
Mr. Wittman’s work has been featured in various publications including the internationally renowned Global Architecture (GA) and Architecture + Urbanism (A+U). Prior to establishing his own firm, Mr. Wittman spent eight years in commercial and residential design offices throughout Southern California. He served for eight years on the City of Mercer Island Design Commission.
Mr. Wittman was a scholar-in-residence at the Gamble House in Pasadena, California and served on the Board of Directors of the Friends of the Gamble House from 1987 to 1993. He has lectured at the Los Angeles Forum for Architecture and Urban Planning and has been an invited design critic at the University of Southern California, School of Architecture and the University of California at Los Angeles, Graduate School of Architecture. He has also assisted teaching of various classes for the UCLA Extension Program including Landscape Design and Interior Design.
